Privacy policy

Set Course collects the minimum needed to run your trip: the booking confirmations you forward to us, the destination and dates derived from them, your account email, and basic usage data about which parts of the app you open.

Booking emails are parsed to extract flight numbers, times, addresses and reference codes. The original message is discarded once parsing completes. We do not read, index or retain any other mail in your inbox, and connecting an inbox is optional — forwarding works just as well.

We use processors for hosting, database storage and language processing. They act on our instructions only and cannot use your data for their own purposes. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest, on UK and EU infrastructure.

We do not sell personal data, we do not run advertising networks, and we do not share your itinerary with airlines, hotels or anyone else unless you explicitly ask us to.

Your data rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deleting a trip removes its underlying records; deleting your account removes everything within 30 days, excluding anonymised usage counts that cannot be traced back to you.

Trip data is retained for 24 months after the trip ends so you can look back at past journeys, then deleted automatically. You can shorten this at any time in settings.

We will tell you within 72 hours if a breach affects your data, and we will tell you what happened rather than what our lawyers would prefer we said.

Terms of use

Set Course is an information tool, not a travel agent, insurer or emergency service. We show flight status, weather, safety and health information sourced from third parties, and while we work hard to keep it current we cannot guarantee it is complete or correct at every moment.

Always check with your airline, and in an emergency call the local emergency number rather than relying on the app. Do not use the translator for medical, legal or safety-critical communication where a mistranslation could cause harm.

Your first trip is free. Paid plans renew annually and can be cancelled any time before renewal for a full refund of the unused period. Accounts may be suspended for abuse, fraud, or attempts to scrape or overload the service.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your display preferences, plus one privacy-preserving analytics tool that records page views without cookies or cross-site identifiers.

There are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site, which is why you have not been asked to accept anything.
